Happy 2025 from the NANN Board of Directors! We hope that you’re off to a great start, because we sure are at NANN. We’ve been working hard to increase the value your membership provides, and I’m thrilled to share more details about many recent and upcoming NANN launches you won’t want to miss.

Over the last several years, the Board has listened to your suggestions and concerns, and we understand the importance of connection with other members and colleagues. A fully updated and user-friendly version of MyNANN launched this month; an investment in you, your membership, and the value it provides. If you haven’t logged in lately, I encourage you to do so today. This is not the listserv of the past but, instead, a whole new MyNANN world for neonatal nurses that integrates with all NANN digital offerings. In addition, our new NANN mobile app will soon launch as well, allowing you to connect with colleagues and access resources like never before. We can’t wait for you to experience these powerful new tools and learn how they impact your personal and professional growth.

As we use this new technology to continue to connect and grow our community, I encourage each of you to take on the personal challenge of sharing your NANN experience with other nurses, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare associates. In the last year, we have diversified our membership options to include e-membership and associate membership. NANN makes recruitment easy with our Member Referral Program and Member Recruitment Toolkit. For a group of new NANN members, our Group Membership Discount is easy and rewarding. So now more than ever, we need all neonatal nurses, and other members of the neonatal healthcare team, to join our movement to shape the future of nursing care and impact neonatal care and outcomes.

In 2024, the Education Strategic Coordinating Committee (ESCC) reviewed all NANN products to determine which needed to be updated or retired. I appreciate their hard work and dedication to this NANN strategic pillar to ensure that our members have the latest education and resources to provide safe and effective care. This month, you’ll find the newly released RNC Power Pack, and the NICU Rescue: Thermoregulation Escape Room. Coming soon are updated Neo-Care Cards and a new NRP Escape Room product for use in your home units (Hosting an escape room is a great way to foster education, teamwork and colleague connections!). In addition, check out the popular Neonatal Developmental Care Specialist Designation if you are looking to enhance your resume or clinical ladder application.

Lastly, the Board of Directors has invested in redesigning the NANN website to ensure that our members can find what they need effortlessly. The state-of-the-art website is currently underway, and in addition to a new look and feel, our redesign task force is leading efforts to improve navigation, content, ADA compliance, and user experience. Look for the new NANN website to launch in late May 2025.

Thank you for your loyalty and involvement in our neonatal nursing profession and community. It’s you who makes our association powerful, meaningful, and impactful in the lives of nurses, patients, and their families. I will leave you with this African Proverb that has resonated with me as a leader in our profession and association: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”

Let’s go far together,
