NANN research drives the practice of neonatal nursing. For this reason, NANN strives to provide avenues for members to become more active in accessing, understanding, conducting, and advancing research and evidence-based neonatal care.
These surveys were approved by NANN’s Research Committee to be distributed via NANN’s E-News and/or the NANN Community. NANN is not affiliated with these surveys and/or research projects.

Through the Nurse’s Eyes: Interpreting Neonatal Pain, Stress, and Distress
The purpose of this study is to understand neonatal nurses’ perceptions of infant pain, stress, and other distressing symptoms, describe the methods that nurses use to assess these experiences, and identify the specific needs of neonatal nurses for additional research related to symptom identification and management in infants.
