NANN Strategic Plan 2026–2029
The NANN Board of Directors has approved the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, a roadmap designed to strengthen our impact on neonatal nursing practice, education, research, advocacy, and leadership development. Guided by member input and the evolving needs of neonatal healthcare, the plan focuses on ensuring NANN remains the leading voice for neonatal nurses while advancing equitable outcomes for newborns and families. Members will see new programs, resources, and opportunities aligned with these strategic priorities.
Join Us in West Palm Beach for the 2026 Annual Conference
We are counting down the days until NANN’s 42nd Annual Conference, September 15-18, 2026, in West Palm Beach, FL. This year’s conference will bring together neonatal nurses, APRNs, researchers, educators, and leaders from across the globe for four days of learning, networking, and inspiration. Attendees can participate in person or access select content on demand.
The conference features a dynamic lineup of educational sessions focused on the topics shaping neonatal care today, including family-centered care, advocacy, quality improvement, workforce development, neonatal pain management, artificial intelligence, health equity, human milk safety, neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn, and developmental care.

- The full-day Advanced Practice Summit, offering cutting-edge content and networking opportunities for neonatal APRNs
- Inspiring keynote presentations on partnering with NICU families, advancing clinical practice, and fostering resilience and connection in neonatal care

Advances in Neonatal Care Goes Fully Digital in 2027
As part of NANN’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, Advances in Neonatal Care (ANC) will transition to a fully digital publication beginning in 2027. This exciting evolution will provide members with faster access to cutting-edge research, enhanced digital features, improved searchability, and greater accessibility across devices. The journal will continue to deliver the high-quality, peer-reviewed content members rely on while creating new opportunities for engagement with neonatal evidence and best practices.

Supporting NICU Workforce for the Entire Neonatal Nursing Team
As part of our commitment to advancing neonatal nursing and strengthening the neonatal workforce, NANN offers an opportunity to extend the full value of NANN to entire care teams, not just individuals.
