Advances in Neonatal Care Spotlight: Breastfeeding Challenges for Mothers with Opioid Use Disorder
We’re introducing a new addition to the NANN E-News: a spotlight on current research from our journal, Advances in Neonatal Care, shaping neonatal care. This month, we’re highlighting A Qualitative Analysis of Multi-level Barriers and Facilitators to Breastfeeding for Mothers Receiving Medication for Opioid Use Disorder.
Through interviews with mothers, family members, and providers, this study explores the complex web of individual, interpersonal, and systemic factors that influence breastfeeding. The findings reveal six key themes offering valuable insight for those working to improve care for opioid-exposed dyads.
