At times, NANN feels a responsibility to speak out on issues that directly impact neonatal nurses, APRNs, patients, and families. Our advocacy statements reflect our commitment to improving care and advancing health outcomes for neonates and their families.
Guided by NANN’s Health Policy and Advocacy Committee, these statements support NANN’s legislative agenda and advocacy priorities. We address topics such as disparities in neonatal care, the mental health of NICU families and nurses, workforce development, environmental justice, paid family leave, and equitable access to nutrition and human milk.
