Live Meeting Cancellation Details 

Why is the 2021 Annual Conference going virtual?

The NANN Board of Directors was looking forward to NANN returning to a live conference this year in Denver however the ongoing COVID-19 regulations and recommendations at the federal/state/local levels made it necessary to cancel the in-person portion of the conference. In addition to these regulations and restrictions, our members are healthcare workers and many remain on the front lines of combatting the pandemic with the most vulnerable of our population. As such, hosting the conference virtually will allow all members and stakeholders to participate this year. We look forward to hosting an in-person conference in Las Vegas in 2022.

Will the meeting be held during the original conference dates?

No. The virtual meeting will take place on September 13-15, 2021.

Will attendees and exhibitors be refunded for hotel and airline expenses?

Per NANN's Cancellation Policy, no refunds can be made for lodging, airfare, or any other expenses related to attending the conference. We suggest you contact the hotel to cancel your reservation and your airline to request a refund. If they are unwilling to grant a full refund, they may be willing to reschedule you for another flight in the future.

Will NANN consider Denver as a conference location in the future?

Absolutely! We are all disappointed that we were forced to cancel due to the pandemic and hope we are able to visit there in the future.

When is the next NANN Annual Conference? 

The 38th NANN Annual Conference will be held September 14-17, 2022, in Las Vegas, NV.

Virtual Conference Information

What if I cannot attend all the live conference sessions and events? Will I be able to view the presentation(s) at another time?

Yes. All sessions will be recorded and available following the live event. You can watch conference sessions on demand through February 1, 2022 and receive CNE after taking the post-test.

Is CNE available through the virtual conference?

Yes. Participants can earn more than 40 hours of CNE by watching sessions live during the conference dates or viewing them on demand and taking the post-test by February 1, 2022.

How do I complete a conference evaluation?

Within each session, you will click on a link that will take you to the session evaluation. In addition, you must complete the overall conference evaluation to access your CNE certificate.

Will there be networking opportunities?

There is nothing like the connections made at a live NANN meeting and we'll make sure to offer similar events in the virtual space. Look for more details to come.

Speakers and Presenters 

I am a speaker. How will my presentation be shared?

The majority of sessions will be prerecorded to allow speakers to be available for Q & A during the live event. Q & A conversations will be available to those attendees who choose to watch later on-demand. Our Education team will be reaching out to assist speakers with this process.

I am a poster presenter. How will my poster be shared?

Your accepted abstract will be included in the e-poster gallery of the virtual conference site and available to all conference attendees.

Industry Supporters

I am in the industry. Will industry and exhibitors be represented in a virtual expo?

Yes, exhibitors will be offered various options to represent their company. Reach out to NANN Sales Manager, Michele Gallas for more information.

Will sponsorship and advertising opportunities be available for the virtual meeting?

Yes, advertising and sponsorship opportunities will be available, including ways to customize their virtual experience. Reach out to NANN Sales Manager, Michele Gallas for more information.

Technical Questions

How can I ask questions during a session?

The virtual conference site has a robust chat feature that will allow you to communicate with others watching, as well as the moderator and speaker.

How far ahead of time should we log in to a session?

All conference sessions will begin on time. We recommend that you log in, visit the virtual conference website, and become familiar with it and its features prior to the conference. At the beginning of each day, we recommend that you log in 10 – 15 minutes prior to the start time to double-check your connection and sound.

In addition, look for helpful tips, site tours, and updates from NANN in the coming months to help you navigate the virtual conference site and get the most from your experience.

What are the technical requirements needed to participate?

To participate, you need an Internet connection and web browser. For the best viewing experience, we recommend that you join the conference using Google Chrome. Additional detailed instructions for accessing the conference will be sent to all registrants before the virtual conference dates.

What should I do if I experience technical difficulties during the meeting?
