NANN Guidelines for Neonatal Nursing Policies, Procedures, Competencies, and Clinical Pathways, now in its fourth edition, provides evidence-based examples of guidelines, policies, and standard procedures that may be necessary in any Level II or Level III nursery.  It is a useful tool for benchmarking or creating policies and procedures.  Nurse managers will find it can facilitate the process of changing their unit's level of care or taking charge of a new unit.  And it will assist the manager or preceptor in employee competency validation.

This multimedia product is a dynamic resource for NICUs and SCNs to use in developing their own practices.  Each of the competencies, guidelines, and clinical pathways presented in the fourth edition of the printed book are also accessible electronically from an accompanying CD-ROM.  The entire book is a fully searchable PDF, exactly as it appears in print.  Additionally, each of the competencies, guidelines, and clinical pathways can be accessed as Microsoft Word documents to simplify text revisions.
