OVATION Neonatal Nursing Career Path Scholarship Results
NANN successfully launched the OVATION Neonatal Nursing Career Path Scholarship this year, sponsored by OVATION Pharmaceuticals, Inc. The program supports and encourages the training and education of clinical neonatal nurses seeking to become neonatal nurse practitioners. The response was excellent, with many applications from highly skilled and motivated nurses. Two scholarship recipients were selected by a committee consisting exclusively of NANN members in a blinded review process to ensure impartiality.
Janet Robnett, RNC of Charlotte, NC is a Discharge Planner in the Intensive Care Nursery at Presbyterian Hospital, and attends East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. Janet says "I enjoy working with interdisciplinary team members to provide optimum care for our babies and their families, and love the quest for knowledge" She has developed an orientation program, order sets and protocols for her unit, educational materials for families, and has participated in numerous committees both at her facility and in the community.
