Access NANN's Infant Safe Sleep Prompt Deck, Safe Sleep Symposium presentation from the 2020 conference, and the Newborn Safe Sleep Guideline.
Infant Safe Sleep Prompt Deck
NANN, with the support of Pampers, a member of the P&G family, has developed an Infant Safe Sleep Prompt Deck as part of the Pamper's Safe Sleep Initiative. This educational tool serves as a reinforcement of NANN's Safe Sleep Guideline. Designed to be used by neonatal nurses with caregivers, it outlines the important elements of following the Safe Sleep Guideline in practice.
Infant Sleep Safety in the NICU: The Successful Transition Home
In this session, we will review safe sleep guidelines and then explore how to apply this knowledge with culturally competent anticipatory guidance. When we are done, you will be better prepared to promote a consistent safe sleep education program for your unit.
Newborn Safe Sleep Guideline
Newborn Safe Sleep is the only clinical practice guideline that addresses the challenges of implementing safe sleep practices in the hospital setting with recommendations on how to do so effectively for children between 1 month and 1 year of age. Explore evidence-based protocols for creating a safe sleep environment for infants that tie in the history of sleep-related deaths and the American Academy of Pediatrics’ safe sleep recommendations between 1992 and 2016. You also will learn about common controversies and barriers related to implementing safe sleep in the hospital, which will empower you to improve your day-to-day practice with neonates and infants.
All three resources are supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Pampers - a member of the Procter and Gamble Family.
